Guarantees

I wonder how many of my fellow hypnotherapists have a client who rings them and asks for a guarantee that hypnosis will work ?

My answer always is that nothing is guaranteed to work because a 100% gurantee is unethical as well as impossible. What I do is give 100% attention and intention to being of help.

Do people ask the same of doctors, dentists and lawyers ? or is this something that a few people expect of hypnosis? Hypnosis is a long-established and powerful technique and even the term " hypnosis " was coined by a British doctor, James Braid in the 19th century.

But magic it is not - and magical thinking alone will not solve problems.
